Interested in bringing your school group or company to the Center?

We've had great success connecting groups with meaningful engagement at the Center and we're excited to help you and your group identify the best way to get involved.

Alternative Breaks

Thank you so much for having us, I think I can speak for everyone when I say this was the most educational, fun, and fulfilling trip that we have been on. I am so glad we were able to help you with everything, and we are all already missing everyone at William Way. I hope more MAB trips reach out to you in the future so they too can experience the hospitality and camaraderie that we felt while we were there.

-Jared Day, University of Missouri

Alternative breaks are fantastic service learning opportunities that afford students the opportunity to dig into larger projects at the Center and engage with many of our constituents. Because of the scope of these experiences, we are limited in our capacity to take on more than two groups a year. Please contact us at least 3 months in advance to discuss availability and project options.

Days of Service/Small Group Trips

Most of our regular programming, like the Front Desk or the Library, is supported by one or two recurring volunteers but we do have special events that often need more hands. If you have a group smaller than 10 people who would like to give back, please contact us about upcoming openings. We try hold larger events once or twice a month and can often accommodate groups of volunteers in our event execution.

In the next few months events of that type include:

As-Seen-On-TV Quizzo, May 6: A really fun community-building trivia night. We're welcoming volunteers to help us set up, sell concessions, judge answers and clean up.

Stardust Women's Dance, May 21: A dance party for senior women, for which we're using volunteer support to check people in, sell tickets and tend bar.

Quizzo, June 17: A really fun community-building trivia night. We're welcoming volunteers to help us set up, sell concessions, judge answers and clean up.

Homecoming and Pride, June 10 & 11: A fundraiser brunch which will need support in set up and clean up. And we're currently generating ideas for our presence in the annual Pride parade. Everything from float construction to marching in the parade comes from our volunteer corps.
