This fall marks the 30th anniversary of the publication of Joseph Beam's "In the Life: A Black Gay Anthology." This work still stands as a sacred movement text that has offered and continues to offer inspiration and magic for our tribes. The event will include engaging discussion, community celebration, and light food and drink. Please bring your voice and ideas to this important conversation. Esteemed drummer Karen Smith will set the tone for the evening. Samuel R. Delany will offer his thoughts on his writings from the book.
