2nd Saturdays, 1-2:30pm
Just as cherry, plum, peach and damson blossoms all possess their own unique qualities, each person is unique. We cannot become someone else. The important thing is that we live true to ourselves and cause the great flower of our lives to blossom. The 13th century Japanese monk Nichiren established a practice based on the Lotus Sutra which teaches that all people possess the courage, wisdom and compassion to face life’s challenges. The Soka Gakkai International-USA, the most diverse lay Buddhist community in the US, supports members in their practice of Nichiren Buddhism. Please join SGI members for an introduction to this affirming practice and the history of the SGI.
