LGBTQ History Group - Eric Gonzaba

Philadelphia-area LGBTQ History Group Welcomes Eric Gonzaba to speak about past efforts to confront discrimination in Philly gay bars


The Philadelphia-area LGBTQ History Researchers, Writers, and Educators Group will gather at the Center on Sunday, December 10, from noon to 2 pm.Our featured speaker will be Eric Gonzaba, PhD candidate in American history at George Mason University. Eric is also the creator of "Wearing Gay History," an award-winning online digital archive and museum which explores the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities through t-shirts. Eric will speak to us about "Clubs and Equality: Fighting Discrimination at Philadelphia's Gay Bars in the 1970s and 1980s." 

Following Eric's talk we will celebrate the season and the end of the year with some festive food and drink!
