VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Gaycoupage Craft Instructors: Have a knack for knitting? A way with watercolor? Bring your talent to our monthly crafts social and workshops, starting May 1 and every first Saturday from 1pm-3pm. We’re looking for people to do short workshop presentations at each social on a craft project. We’ll take care of the supplies, you bring the plan and the instructions. E-mail Candice at cthompson@waygay.org  for more information.

Library Coordinators (2): The Center is looking for two volunteers to oversee our 14,000 lending library and our volunteer library staff. The coordinators will work with the Program Director to ensure that the collection is kept up-to-date, volunteers are properly trained, software and supplies are current and supervise catalog maintenance. Additionally, the coordinators will be responsible for guiding decisions relating the Collection Policy. This position also allows for the opportunity to create special library-related programming. Volunteering for a regular library desk shift is not required but the opportunity is available if the coordinators so desire. While an advanced degree in Library Sciences is helpful for certain aspects of this position, it is by no means necessary and all are welcome to express interest. E-mail Candice at cthompson@waygay.org  for more information.
